For over 10 years, Dover Tool was heavily involved with Textron Lycoming (located in Stratford CT) as a local certified supplier (see Textron Lycoming Quality Certificate). As a result of Textron Lycoming's decision to re-locate its facility to Arizona (now known as Honeywell), Dover Tool made a decision to invest in a diverse asset base to support a broad range of process capabilities in order to become a recognized Department of Defense Prime Contractor.

Our Culture

It is important to our culture that the company bottom line is everyone's bottom line. Dover's way of accomplishing this challenge is to start with knowledgeable management and skilled operators. Our objective is to involve our key setup personnel and operators in all facets of each project-from quoting to the finished products. The only way to achieve this goal is to have the best qualified and skilled operators at every phase of manufacturing. We support our operators by encouraging employee involvement in the process and providing courses sponsored by the company when needed. These efforts are designed to hone our operators' skills and expand their capabilities. The results of this involvement help make their job easier and give them a sense of ownership of the processes they are accountable for. Dover encourages innovation in machining techniques and custom fixture design. We attempt to provide our employees with the latest in equipment, software, training and tooling.
